The Department is actively involved in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities that have brought to light the talents of the students and faculties. Chemical Engineering being one of the oldest and broadest engineering discipline, plays a significant role in enhancing quality of life. Chemical Engineering touches nearly every aspect of day-to-day life, from the production of food and beverages to medical treatments. It has applications in oil and gas, plastics, energy, environment, sustainability, finance, law, biotechnology, construction and allied industries. Our department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty, with good infra structure and lab facilities. The Department strives hard constantly to improve upon the quality of education, to maintain its position of leadership in Engineering and Technology. The Department has the distinction of being the first to be recognized for COSIST and DSA programmes by UGC. The department has received support from DST-FIST, DST-PURSE, UGC- SAP and currently recognized as DST-CAS department.
