Power Systems & Power Management
Major areas of Research Currently, the research work is going on in the areas of Power System Stability, Operation, and control, FACTS controllers, power quality, De-regulation, Grid-connected Wind Energy Conversion Systems and Application of Artificial Intelligence Techniques to Power System Problems. The department is engaged with research activities in various domains of Power Engineering and Management. The research areas include Smart Grid, Plugin Electric Vehicle, Renewable Technologies, Storage Systems, Control of Electrical Machines and managing mechanical vibrations in machines.
