Within the Department of Information Science and Technology, a key focus area lies in the development of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This system is engineered to elevate the driving experience by prioritizing safety, comfort, and ease of operation. The thrust encompasses devising innovative methods and algorithms for obstacle avoidance and route optimization, aiming to achieve a high level of automation, specifically Level 4, within the ADAS framework. Additionally, there is a focus on evaluating the efficacy of this framework in guiding Unmanned Autonomous Ground Vehicles (UAGVs). The department's laboratory serves as a hub for practical learning, providing students with hands-on exposure to both hardware and software components. Here, a prototype vehicle is meticulously assembled, integrating embedded processors, motors, cameras, and an array of sensing devices to foster the development of unmanned vehicle technologies.
