Research Expertise

Faculty members in the Department of Physics (CEG-campus) have been actively engaged in research related to fundamental and applied physics of materials. Our research spans over condensed matter, optics, and nano-science & technology. In particular, our condensed matter researchers have been on the hunt for future energy storage materials by applying DFT and molecular dynamics calculations along with experimental support. Our optics group investigates optical materials linear and non-linear behavior, emphasizing remote sensing for defense applications, LED materials for TV screens, and long-lasting soliton waves for long-range telecommunication.
